Let me tell you a story about redemption.
My Mom was a teen mother who made decisions about my upbringing with my best interest at heart.
As an adult, our relationship has seen its share of highs..and some very painful lows…that eventually led us into a season of separation.
We tried working together before at Sassy Jones, and the way that ended left me deeply scarred. I vowed I’d never work with her again. Honestly, it turned me off from working with family altogether. And transparently, that decision tore me up inside. I’ve always longed for us to be closer.
But here’s the thing..sometimes the very thing that drives a wedge is also the very thing God uses to heal.
I never expected this day to come. It quite literally fell out of the sky.
But God’s plan? It’s always bigger, wiser, and better than ours.
I had to surrender a few distractions.
I had to learn how to hear her differently…not just through the lens of my past, but through the eyes of everything she’s survived.
It’s a victorious perspective now. A healed one.
And God? He knew the whole time.
So if you’re wondering whether it’s okay to try again, it is.
It’s okay to move forward, even if the past held pain.
Because sometimes, the restoration comes after the lesson. And sometimes, legacy can only be built when both hearts are ready.
So allow me to reintroduce the newest, most powerful addition to the Sassy Jones Retail Division… my Mom, Lisa Jones. ❤️
This is how it was designed from the beginning. Our union just required the healed version of us both.
Come hug her neck, y’all. She’s me times three😂
And remember:
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26
