The Dream House didn't begin as a store.
It began with a dream.
Years before opening our doors in Houston, we had another popular tourist location planned. Everything looked right on paper, but our founder and her husband had the same dream on the exact same night: the location wasn't quite right.
The dream told us to obediently wait. So we did. For three years.
Eventually, the road led us here, to a charming house in Houston's Third Ward and a community that had already been showing Sassy Jones tremendous love for years.
We didn't want to build another store.
We wanted to build a place that felt like home.
A place where grown women could play again. Where you could discover something beautiful, meet somebody new, laugh a little louder, dream a little bigger, and leave remembering something about yourself.
That's why we call it the Dream House.

Hi, I'm Charis, founder and designer of Sassy Jones, and the Dream House may be one of the most personal things I've ever designed.
Before I sketched a layout or decided where a single thing would go, I let the house speak to me. I paid attention to the light, the rooms, the history, the imperfections, and most importantly, how I wanted you to feel when you walked through the door.
Then I began to design.
Nothing here is accidental. Every color, every piece of furniture, every floral detail, every little corner was thoughtfully considered, moved, lived with, and sometimes moved again until it simply felt right. I wanted the Dream House to feel collected rather than decorated, like a beautiful home that had been lovingly becoming itself for years.
It's the same way I design our jewelry. Every stone has a place. Every bead is considered. Every color, texture, curve, and unexpected detail is there because I chose for it to be there.
Whether I'm designing a room or something you'll wear, I'm always chasing the same thing: beauty with soul.
Because to me, luxury isn't about having more.
Luxury is knowing someone cared about every single detail.

Are there restaurants near the Sassy Jones Dream House?
Absolutely. Make a day of it! The Dream House sits near Houston's Museum District and Third Ward, surrounded by some wonderful places to eat. One of our favorites is Lucille's, a nationally acclaimed Museum District restaurant known for refined Southern cuisine and modern interpretations of Southern classics.
For something casual right on Almeda Road, try Lien's Viet Kitchen for Vietnamese favorites, or Reggae Hut for Caribbean and Jamaican flavors in Third Ward. If brunch is calling your name, the iconic The Breakfast Klub is another Houston favorite nearby. And definitely don't forget Grangers Seafood, just minutes away.
Sassy Tip: Shop the Dream House first, grab lunch or brunch nearby, then spend the afternoon exploring Houston's Museum District. That's our kind of day.

Many times, yes! The Dream House carries select in store inventory and exclusives, so you may discover something you can't currently find online.
Can I return an online purchase to the Dream House?
Online purchases must be handled through our online return process.
What is the in store exchange policy?
Eligible in store purchases may be exchanged within three days with your receipt. Sale and beauty purchases are final sale.
